One of the most essential things at Mirumee is that our culture is centered around people and open source. We are active members of the open source community, creating Ariadne, a schema-first GraphQL server library for Python, eagerly sharing our knowledge as mentors and speakers at events across the globe and creating the biggest GraphQL Meetup in Poland and beyond.

The Principal Developers team is extremely important- it's where role models come from. Our heroes are Anton (QA), Jan (Frontend), Paweł (Backend&Saleor) and Wojciech (Product&Frontend). You will work directly with the CEO, COO and other department leaders also. 🦹

Profile

  • You have proven experience in managing a distributed technical team at the project level, as well as organization-wide & experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • You engage directly with clients to comprehend requirements, articulate solutions, and deliver as promised.
  • You think in the context of the entire company, not just your own project.
  • You are an expert in advanced Python and AWS. Other tech stack: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Git, databases (Postgres, DynamoDB), Serverless on AWS. JS/TS will be a huge plus!
  • You have a few years of experience in creating web applications.
  • You have experience in process automation, CI/CD process design and implementation.
  • You can build authority based on achievements and leading by example, possess leadership skills based on the servant leadership principle and maintain good contact with the team.
  • You demonstrate patience when working with individuals with less experience and/or from other departments and can effectively resolve conflicts.
  • You have a university degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field that is desirable.
  • You have a good command of English, both written and spoken, as our clients are English-speaking.

Requirements

  • Defining and implementing tasks based on the company's overall goals - we take them seriously.
  • Pre-sales: designing systems according to clients' requirements, initiating projects and building initial relationships with the client, creating dedicated teams, and assisting clients with technical aspects.
  • Development of the company's technical resources: technical support and mentoring for existing teams, fostering team skill development by coordinating training sessions, workshops, hackathons, and participation in relevant technical events.
  • Managing the team responsible for system reliability (SRE).
  • Managing company infrastructure, incl. cloud/SaaS tools and their scalability.
  • Conducting evaluation processes for the technical team: assessing progress and technical skills, identifying areas requiring development.

Nice to have

  • DevOps skills certifications, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or project management certifications.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL.
