About the Client

PrismaVet is a US-based medtech company serving the veterinary industry. Pairing clinical practice with medical imaging engineering, the company connects fragmented diagnostics (radiographs, endoscopy video, mobile photos, and legacy records) into one unified viewer.

Their platform powers two specialized tools sharing a single viewing engine: PrismaPACS for veterinary clinics and radiology groups, and EQ Sales Pro for equine auctions.

Challenge

The Sprint to a High-Stakes Industry Debut

Prismavet had an incomplete platform and a strict deadline. They needed to present a working version of a new product at a major upcoming horse trade show, where it would be demonstrated directly to veterinarians and potential investors.

Solution & Work Done

Approach

To meet the tight deadline, we deployed a highly focused team of four experts, utilizing strategic overtime to maintain momentum. Our approach centered on capturing the complete “pre-auction” lifecycle.

Process & Work Done

Working in rapid development cycles, our team focused on core functionalities that would provide immediate business value during the demo. We prioritized deep system integrations and smooth user workflows over superfluous features.

Solution

We engineered a specialized equine auction platform tailored to the workflows of veterinary professionals and livestock buyers.

Medical Integration (DICOM)

  • We implemented an advanced system for uploading, reading, and linking medical examinations, including DICOM images, reports, and MP4 videos.
  • The platform integrates directly with Prisma PACS, allowing veterinarians to pull existing X-rays into the auction platform or upload new diagnostics directly from the field via mobile devices.
  • Prisma PACSPull existing X-rays
  • Mobile devicesUpload new diagnostics from the field

Diagnostics flow into the auction platform from Prisma PACS and from mobile devices in the field.

Auction Workflow Configuration

  • We developed an auction configurator that allows organizers to set precise time windows for different phases of the sale.
  • This system manages complex permissions, dictating exactly when sellers can upload documents and when veterinarians are granted access to view them.
Illustrative example of phase time windows and access permissions set in the auction configurator.

Pre-Auction Intelligence & Analytics

  • The system acts as a silent observer, gathering information on which horses (referred to as “hips”) attract the most attention.
  • It tracks how many users visit a specific listing and how deeply they engage with the medical images, giving auction organizers real-time buyer intent data.
Illustrative data, not real auction results: how listing visits and medical image engagement show which hips attract the most attention.

    Results & Impact

From Greenfield Prototype to Business Validation

We provided both technical execution and design for the platform’s landing page, EQ Sales Pro. By successfully launching EQ Sales Pro, we turned a greenfield prototype into a validated business asset.

    Business Validation & ROI

    • We successfully delivered the working product within the two-week window, ensuring Prismavet was ready for their trade show.
    • The platform performed reliably during the demo, securing positive feedback from initial users, stakeholders, and investors.
    • By identifying the most popular listings, auction organizers can strategically optimize opening bids.

    Ongoing Innovation

As a direct result of the successful prototype delivery, we secured an ongoing partnership to scale the platform into a full production environment. The key initiatives are to integrate a communication gateway that routes diagnostic scans into the platform, and to simplify the auction management panel into a more intuitive workflow.
